The cake was still tasty. It was a vanilla cake with lemon curd filling (homemade) and a vanilla frosting dusted with coconut. The frosting has got to be one of the most unusual I have ever made. It is basically just sugar and egg whites whipped in a double boiler. The taste was a bit sweet and fluffy, but it stuck like glue to everything. Trying to ice the cake was near impossible as the icing just dragged the cake all over the platter. Plus, the lemon curd was the slipperiest substance around and caused the second layer to move all over while I iced it. But, again, still tasty.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I am an illustrator with an education in industrial design. After graduating college I decided that illustrating was what I wanted to do for a living. So, in an effort to build my art skills and promote myself I decided to start this blog.
Hope you enjoy.
