Crazy crazy crazy

Sorry, still no comic strip. This is the first time since last Thursday that I have even been on the computer. We are in the process of moving, and, along with all the shifts I've been working, I haven't had a moment to rest. It's just been work work work, then sleep. Hopefully next week I can post a large strip about the wonderful past-time that is moving to a new house.

Signed away our souls...

We closed on our new house. You have to sign so many documents that it would be easy for the title company to slip in anything and we'd sign it.

I prefer my onions burnt

My stove lacks the ability to maintain a low temperature. It really only seems good at scalding. I actually cooked a second batch of onions which turned out better, but not great. They were for a "squid with caramelized onions" tapa recipe from Jose Andres' amazing book. The dish was still delicious, and I can't wait to cook more from his book! I also look forward to using the stove at our new house. But....it is an electric stove top. I'm not sure how well that will turn out, but we had to compromise somewhere.

Whoops

My first fall with Heelys. I'm sure plenty more will follow.

Bad dream

I had bangs as a child, grew them out in junior high, and have never looked back.

See Kung Fu Panda

Long time no post, but I finally got around to putting up some comics. Went to see Kung Fu Panda on Sunday with some friends. It is great! By far Dreamworks' best animated film (although I do like Road to El Dorado). It is definitely worth seeing in the theater just to watch master Oogway (the ancient turtle). His animation is amazing!!!! Now, after the movie our two friends (who happen to be jugglers/entertainers/balloon sculpter) noticed my Heelys. And, they both have a pair. I got to witness fellow adults use Heelys, and use them well. They can skate backwards, jump, and spin with the shoes. I've managed to turn on my shoes, but I still have a long way to go.

Funny customer

This guy looked really tough and intimidating, until I realized he had a pink shake topped with shipped cream in his hand (that he sipped with a straw, heehee). The drink is called "strawberries and cream" and just makes the idea of him ordering it even funnier.

Employee appreciation week!

Everyone at work is jealous of my Heelys ^_^

Anxiety

I took over storytime at work today. Who thought the idea of entertaining a bunch of three-year-olds could be so nerve-wracking. Everything seemed to go fine, though.
