How I hurt my hand

For some reason I am deathly afraid of moths. This can and has lead to many embarrassing moments and a few injuries. Today's visitor entered my car window, caused me to convulse in fear in such a way as to smack my hand into the steering wheel. It actually hurt for quite a while (my left had actually has a scar from a similar experience involving a moth and a bicycle). After all the drama, I actually discovered (as the insect left the car of its own accord) that it really was a butterfly. So much for being calm and collected.

Happiness!

Hiccups

I completely forgot to post this yesterday. I scanned it and everything, just didn't post. Strange.

Finished!

Whew. Read the entire book and I loved it! I'm going to have to read the whole series straight through, just to enjoy it as one continuous story. Anyway, after a blissful, Harry Potter filled weekend I have to go to dreaded work tomorrow. I can only hope that my reading into the wee hours of the night won't disrupt my sleep schedule too horribly.

New work schedule perks

Now that I work 10 hours a day, I get Fridays off. I got to wake up on my own schedule. Plus, I needed all the sleep I could get since I'm off to get my Harry Potter book tonight!

Harry Potter!

Here's my rendition of the early years. I actually really like how Ron came out, but I think that Harry looks too bookwormish (but what can you do with glasses) and Hermione looks a bit too cutesy (plus I'm not pleased with her hair). I'll have to explore this style a bit more.

Can't wait for the book......this Friday!!!

Cheater

Yeah, I cheated with today's strip, but I'm tired. My new schedule at work began, a 10-4 schedule. This means I have a four day week, but a 10 hour day. So now I have to get up at 5:20am and stay at work until 5pm.

So.....tired......

The problem with dogs, a Wii, and a projector

We have a projector setup for video games and movies. It's great for the Xbox, Ps2 etc. But now that we have a Wii, it's posed problems with positioning the sensor bar. Currently it is on top of our center speaker on the floor. Meaning it is about a foot off the ground. Therefore, the dogs continued sitting right in front of it for most of the night. Many a game score was changed due to the location of the dogs.

Luna Lovegood

Saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and it was great! I can't wait for the seventh book! Anyway, I had a different Luna Lovegood picture all ready to post yesterday but our internet access wasn't working. Then, I was still inspired to do more Luna artwork and came up with this drawing that was infinitely better than my previous. So, I decided not to post the old one.

"Dead Like Me" marathon

During the marathon we continually said that the music for "Dead Like Me" shared an uncanny resemblance to the music from the Spyro videogames (the first three for the PlayStation). After about five hours of saying this my husband finally decided to turn to the internet for advice. Remarkably, we were correct! Steve Copeland wrote the music; plus, he was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame as a member of The Police (according to IMDB.com). Pretty neat.

Dog fur

I swear my hands work better than any dogbrush at removing loose fur. Whenever I pet my dog a pile of fur develops. Guess I should brush her more often.
