Disappointment

There were only eight stalls. Four of which sold non-produce items like bread and tamales. And the rest of the stalls sold potatoes, onions, and squash with the occasional green vegetable. Slim pickins is all I can say.

I feel your pain. There's a local produce stall in my local market - every time I think 'ooo, I wonder what seasonal vegetables I'll find today', every time the choice is potato, cabbage, carrots. Hurrah. :|

Ritsuko tried going to the farmer's market down south this past weekend only to find it taken over by some high school game. :(

However, she was fortunate enough to find the Cinco de Mayo festival was going on nearby.

I understand that the type and amount of produce is dependent on the season, but I did expect a little more than this.
