Seriously big bird! It seems to frequent this particular part of the neighborhood and flies really close to us when we walk by. It swooped overhead and landed on a branch about 4 feet away. My parents visited recently and said that it's not a red-tailed hawk, but whatever it is it's big and awe-inspiring.

I'd be careful. Once when I visited Austin I had a bird swoop in and grab my hair. I can only assume b/c it is spiky and branch like.
