He may not understand the command "move", but you'd think that he'd remove his paw after I struggle and tug my foot out from under it. He just stands there until I yank it free, never budging. He's like a big, mobile rock.
It's been kind of hectic. I actually have been really busy working at the bookstore, and then when I come home I can't calm down because I am constantly aware of how much dog drool is seeping into the carpet and all over the furniture. I will try to get more regular this week with the comic strips as I will only have to work for a few days.
So I am officially a member of the Barnes and Noble family. I am still in training as I have only been working for three days. Spending the day around books makes me notice so many more. I have to pace myself or I could quickly spend all my meager wages.
After working off of adrenaline for four days (and sleeping in a shared bedroom), it's nice to return to our own bed and relax! Loki seemed to have been in the same situation and slept just as much as us.
Loki was left at a dog kennel while we were gone. Her first time ever. Seemed she did okay, but just in case there were any hard feelings we took her with us to eat barbecue, and she gets all the rib bones.
We were both complete newbies to skiing. And, after a few frustrating hours of learning, skiing did become fun! But, despite our enjoyment, we clearly didn't pack the proper equipment and ended up purchasing some inexpensive ski pants at the local Walmart.
I had resisted removing the heavy comforter for quite a while with the fear that the temperature would drop the following night. But, after nearly a month of overheated nights, I finally gave in and put out the summer bed linens. As feared, the temperature has dropped again, and we needed to add an extra blanket.
Took the whole sewing machine apart (that was difficult). Then we think we figured out the problem, and hopefully will be able to prevent all future problems. Those machines are created by geniuses, it is incredibly complex inside and we actually didn't even need to disassemble the entire machine to solve the problem. I still have no idea how the device works and probably never will.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I am an illustrator with an education in industrial design. After graduating college I decided that illustrating was what I wanted to do for a living. So, in an effort to build my art skills and promote myself I decided to start this blog.
Hope you enjoy.
